M.Div. Pastoral Counseling

Broken relationships, being "stuck" in unhealthy patterns, negative self-thoughts, and imprints from past abuse can feel overwhelming, but freedom is possible. I approach soul care with authenticity, compassion, honesty, and a non-judgmental approach, and I am passionate about helping women address emotional pain, experience God's restoration out of brokenness, and see themselves as God sees them so that they can experience healing and freedom in Christ. It is a beautiful process to witness, and I am honored when I am trusted with an opportunity to be a part of it!

Some of the issues I have worked with include identity formation, processing and healing from sexual/physical/emotional abuse, low self-worth, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, adolescent issues, women experiencing marital conflict, grief, anger, addiction, perfectionism, shame/guilt issues, adoption, infertility, identifying and addressing patterns/coping mechanisms that hinder freedom, and helping women internalize their relationship with God.

Master’s of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling, Southern Seminary (2008).
Bachelor’s of Science Psychology/Sociology, East Tennessee State University (2003).

Before working in private practice, I served for many years as a counselor in a ministry where I provided therapy to women in pain from physical/sexual abuse and relationship difficulties. I also interned in an inpatient mental health facility specializing in the treatment of substance abuse/addictions and depression. I deeply enjoy counseling in private practice because of the opportunity to provide a personal, individualized approach specific to each woman’s heart.

My standard session fee is $80. A sliding scale application is available; scale is based on an objective formula utilizing household income and size.
